This schism in the MSQ and its acceptance already shows there's something wrong with it, no matter what you think,

just completed the story on my main (feral druid) the story is great and the dungeons are awesome and quick the ones I cued for only had 3 bosses each was fun looking forward to the rest the delves are fun different themes and quick and easy at level 1 tried a level 2 it was bit harder but still doable solo

I think my general criticisms is the overall execution of the MSQ story is off. Like this was a 5th or 6th draft, and if the writers just did a few more reviews and revisions we would've had a good restart expansion. It's like the writers settled for the 5th draft. The general story beats were fine, it wasn't bad at all, but the execution was oddly very clumsy for some reason.

Mages had the dead Dalaran Portal, us Druids had giving our friends rides... and then shifting mid-air and watching them fall to their deaths while we became birds. I do miss that trolling element but I'm still not sure if I would want to go back...

I have tried Guild Wars 2, and while I had a fine time with it. The lack of being unable to switch classes, without making an entirely new character, just kills me. FF14 and honestly Runescape when I first played it ruined most MMOs for me. There are days when I just want to do other things that isn't my starting class/job/profession.

As one of the DT MSQ non-enjoyers, I actually like the conceit of a dad making a bunch of trials for his kids... and bakool jaja. My issue is how immature Wuk Lamat is, and how much she is the butt of every childish joke. It'd be one thing if her brothers teased her at certain moments that brought us back to, "oh yeah these people were raised together," but the seasickness, the alpaca spit... it was too much for me. Wuk Lamat also didn't start this adventure with a good reason to become Dawnservant. The other contestants all have visions for Tural. She doesn't. If she just wanted peace/prosperity, she could have dropped out of the race and dedicated herself to helping Koana. Post Valigarmanda, she realizes she inherited her father's love for the people. Great. Then she can be a civil servant. Why DAWN servant? I wish the Final Days had hit Tural, and during them she found her will to lead the people, and we had a conversation with her/echo to learn of this change in her. She's just like "good tacos good times for everyone!" In character, I wanted to ditch Wuk and join Urianger/Thancred. I think I don't like DT b/c I believed in its potential and it failed to deliver. This opinion is entirely based on the part that GG has see so far, i.e. the dinner feat.

I try to respect peoples opinions but I do feel like I played a different game when I see some takes. People really need to go back and replay early stormblood from 61-65 because I find it absolutely wild that people consider ala mhigo into ruby sea in even the same ballpark as 91-95, let alone in the other way around, And thats coming from someone who likes stormblood. Hell, I even go so far as to look at the first half of Heavensward 3.0 and I just dont see how it compares. There were only two points in the entire first half of the DT MSQ that i found were drawn out or unecessary (kidnapping and salty yok hoy) The rest was a higher quality version of your standard early MSQ faire

As far as the MSQ goes, I have to admit I preferred Endwalker because of the way that it built on Shadowbringers, which was essentially the prelude to it. But if I'm being completely honest, Werlyt also ruined Shadowbringers as an expansion for me in terms of its content. While the Eden raids were excellent and full of fascinating lore, Werlyt had all of the worst shounen and mecha stereotypes including a villain that was both dumb and disgusting in many ways. I found myself thinking what a shame it was that we couldn't get a nice trial series that took place on the First instead of the awfulness of Werlyt. It would have been a unique opportunity for us to take full advantage of the world we were in for the limited amount of time we could be there. Compared to that, we were really spoiled in Endwalker in terms of lore: both Myths and Pandaemonium had great fights and extremely interesting cutscenes and quests. Obviously it helped that we were paired with Raha and Themis respectively. Also, I agree with Kyle that Yoshida is a big part of makes XIV so special, because he feels so approachable as a producer and director. He's honest and humble about his mistakes, always willing to listen to feedback, and generally is quick to address bugs and give us fixes. And the fact that he loves this game as much as we do means he's as invested in its enjoyment as he is in its financial success.

I’m surprised that no-one mentioned it when it came up, but we do actually already have a confirmed Final Fantasy crossover MTG set announced. It’s coming out sometime next year. Personally I’m very excited.

This may seem weird, as it has no connection to FFXIV whatsoever, but if you like Metal music with positivity, check out the Japanese band BABYMETAL. They have that same aura of positivity, that makes you want to become a better person, and as consequence, create a very emotional and friendly following, just like FFXIV does.

I love the fact the game acknowledges you having levels in Culinarian during the cook off.

Is Zenos right when he says that the Warrior of Light is special to him and vice versa? I don‘t feel it. Right until the end, he was only ever a PITA obstacle on the WoL‘s path, wasn‘t he?

I felt so bad during the walk through the shadows of the past, for not remembering all the speakers of those lines. It felt like being a bad friend.

Considering how Valigarmanda caused both frozen and melted mountain peaks, I'd say it equals out. ^^ If you want discussions of what species it's alright to eat, try Dungeon Meshi. Hmmm... now that we saw he head of reason mention Eorzeans comig ove to Tural, in the echo... I am a bit surprised and disappointed, that the story writers didn't remember the blue mage storyline. There we heard of an illness that swept the "new world," for which we helped find a cure and there were also issues with Eorzeans getting involved in the Ceruleum mining. But I didn't spot a single mention of it at any point. That being said, it's far less surprising than them not mentioning the Final Days.

I don't talk/comment much, but been subbed since you guys started streaming in Heavensward. Soz, gonna be a long comment haha 😅 GW2 has been on my radar for a long time. But been so busy lately, I haven't had the time to tune in to the streams, pick up other games, or even play FFXIV (the horror). I'll watch the crap outta GW2 VODS though. Finally "finished" FFXIV (done all the side content, and only got 1 more ultimate to go), and about to finish the raid tier with my static, so I'll be looking at other MMO's to try out. Some mates have recommended GW2 many times. (Not gonna try WoW, at least until they've built trust back up for a few years, and they respect players time) I know Kyle said he hated Hollow Knight, but if Garret, Kyle, (or Kristen) want to do some streams of that game, I would watch the crap outta that too. I promise it gets really good once you can wall jump. It's got a great story, that's really fun to piece together from small hints littered all over the world. It's actually perfect for Kyle's wacky theory-crafting brain, and I think Garret would enjoy the combat (when it gets good after getting wall jump). Many people say "hollow knights not my game", and just as many have changed their mind, and turned into a rabid fan (like me) after getting past the beginning. You just have to get into an explorers mindset and set your own goals, because HK doesn't hold your hand. There are so many great games coming out though. So glad I've "finished" FFXIV, cuz I'm actually looking at and playing other games now.

(FYI for the expansions, the first 2 - Heart of Thorns and Path of Fire - are now bundled together: they don’t cost much, and often go on sale!)

You can try out characters to your heart's content. As soon as you're out of the tutorial you can enter the pvp lobby (heart of the mists). In there you will be scaled up to max level with every thing unlocked. There are some minor differences between pvp and pve mechanics, but the overall feel will be the same. The lobby has a training area where you can test different builds.

Easily the most skippable part of the MSQ, along with the first 5 levels.

I hope you guys gwt to try some of the endgame content. Its so good.

With regards to the Lakshmi achievement, I believe that as the summoned divinity of the snake people, she may lack toes!

First off, Welcome to and welcome Back to GW2. This game NAILS open world exploration and smooth story progression. There are some things they got wrong but that in Every game. Don't ever use level boosts till you play at least one to level 80. Take your time explore and enjoy all the eye candy and great game mechanics this game has to offer. The others two things this game has out paces every other game at is Community building with everything in open world being shared. Resorces, open world progressive events and boss fights that you can participate in simply by getting in a hit, and sometimes simply by being hit. The other is Mounts, BEST EVER. Anyway, enjoy and I hope to see your out there. Happy gaming.

Since that isn't here for them they are not here. They might show up for the parts they really didn't like though, just to see how you react.

i have played gw2 since release, still playing almost everyday. over 7k hours in game and more to game. best game ever

Going to be honest, this was a really disappointing stream. Not your guys' fault directly, but the absolute lack of mechanics you ended up doing made it very boring to watch, all you did was wander around going 'oo what's this, what's that, why is that there, oh I'm stunned' for a while until you rolled over. Partly it was how there were six people who were adjusting a lot for you and doing the mechanics on your behalf, but I really hope that the next Extreme you do works out to more things happening. Are you planning on doing the Endwalker patch trials next up? Barbariccia and Golbez are both very tense fights that require you to resolve things correctly and quickly. I'd love it if you guys went into those next!

ARR extremes are some of the more interesting ones to figure out, cuz the devs were also figuring out what they were doing. I love Mog Ex, it's my favorite from ARR. I don't think that's a popular opinion though.

For accel bomb (dice) you really have to be not moving or using any skills the moment it expires. With enough practice you can cut it super close. I like to untarget boss right as it's going out as well so I don't autoattack.

So, the size of thing you put dead poeple into goes something like this? Coffin - furniture sized Sepulchre - single room sized Mausoleum - building sized Necropolis/Giza Pyramids - city sized Garret, how do you feel about being the final catch in a fisher quest-line as an memorial? Congratulations, you caught the ultra rare Tuna Nocrust. ^^

FYI, There are differences between if your playing F2P or if you had purchased any of the expansions. And i can tell person on the left has while person on the right is on a "free account" or similar? These recommendations are for those who intend to play F2P for a long time, however, even if your not intending to be for a long time are nice to have. For the most "lore" out of GW2 i'd recommend making one character an Asura, and the other a Sylvari. To get the most out of GW2 efficiently i recommend doing a Necromancer and a Mesmer. Think of the Necromancer as your "farming" character and your Mesmer as your "adventuring" character. I recommend doing Weaponsmithing and Artificer on the Necromancer and Tailoring and Jewelcrafting on the Mesmer. You should never need Huntsman unless you REALLY need to make an ascended Warhorn. When you get to the point where you get your Exotic and/or Ascended grade gear i recommend praying in any city near the Black Lion Auction House Market for Superior Runes of the Traveler. Remember, it's against TOS to beg other players for in game items and against TOS to trade services for in game items. At least last i checked. While traversing the world, there are things you are restricted from such as needing to reach level 20 to access Lions Arch. And unless i'm miss remembering there's a bug preventing the Norn from entering their city until reaching level 20 but no other race has this issue. There's this thing called a "Hero Point" (HP) you will not be able to interact until after spending an amount of time. However, you can gain the ones that someone else activates and requires taking down a foe. There are other restrictions, and restrictions that had been lifted since last i played F2P. However, the main thing you can't do is buy gems with gold until you've purchased a GW2 expansion. Hope this information helped.

Honestly, the song Smile would have made more sense for a cutscene where we watch our group cook xibruq pibil, instead of the nothing we got and whatever we get later.
